Debating Association of Victoria (DAV) Debating Round 2 Results

De La Salle College continues to be a strong competitor within the debating realm, managing to take home three wins and three best speaker awards on Tuesday 28 April. Our professionalism, effective use of persuasive language and expert delivery have set us apart to date. Mrs Christine Thompson, Mrs Georgina Dwyer, Ms Kate McIlroy, Mr Tim Brodrick and I have spent many a lunchtime session with the dedicated crew to assist with the preparation of their ‘allocated topic’ debates and can attest to how hard each student is working to produce quality speeches. Round 3 and 4 will test student skills, as they head into the ‘secret topic’ section of the competition. We wish them the best of luck for continued success.
