This year’s De La Salle Founder’s Day was a resounding success.
Despite the inclement weather leading up to the event the rain held out for the better part of the day. The Kinnoull oval was transformed into a carnival with inflatable boxing and dodgem cars being enjoyed to the sounds of Year 11 DJ Lachlan Bulman. Principal Mr Houlihan and Mr Tim Hogan braved the cold weather to be dunked in icy cold water as the marching band played.
Other events throughout the day couldn’t have been possible without the coordination of the Business Management students, who entertained and fed the masses with their business stalls; the primary students, who baked some delicious sweets and partook in the hip-hop workshop; and the Music Department, whose talented students performed to a packed crowd at the amphitheater.
Congratulations to the staff and students who won a raffle prize — thanks to the generous donations from Officeworks, Channel Seven and Giorgios.
Finally, thank you to the Class Captains and College Leaders who helped the College celebrate the Founder, St John Baptist de La Salle.
