On Wednesday 11 November the College marked the 97th Remembrance Day with a short ceremony at Kinnoull.

Staff and students came together to reflect and pray for those who were wounded or died in wars. Of special note were the 53 Old Collegians who lost their lives serving Australia in conflict. Lest We Forget.

Evacuation Drill

On Wednesday 18 November the Tiverton Campus will conduct a trial evacuation drill to test out emergency management procedures. The drill will commence shortly after 9:00am and take about 15 minutes. Phone calls into the College may be disrupted during the drill.

End of Year Masses and Assemblies

As the academic year quickly draws to a close preparations are well underway for our final Masses and assemblies. These are compulsory for all students and mark the completion of the school year and the acknowledgement of achievement and endeavour in both sport and academic pursuits.

Cyberbullying

On July 1 this year the Enhancing Online Safety for Children Act came into effect. The purpose of this Act is to facilitate the rapid removal of serious cyberbullying material affecting Australian children.

Such cyberbullying activity may include:

  • serious name calling and comments
  • offensive or upsetting pictures or videos
  • fake accounts or impersonations
  • hacking of social media accounts
  • hate pages.

If any of the above situations occur:

  1. Report the cyberbullying to the social media service.
  2. Collect evidence – copy URLs or take screen shots of the material

If the content is not removed in 48 hours:

  1. Report it to www.esafety.gov.au/cyberbullying-complaint
  2. Block the person and talk to someone you trust.
