Year 7 Band Concert
The Semester 1 Band Program was celebrated in style with the concert on 8 June in the PAC. As promised, the evening was filled with energy and terrific music from the four Homerooms performing. The audience were amazing contributors with their whooping and cheering. It was anyone’s game on the night and came down to a three point win. Congratulations to Benilde for taking out the title for Semester 1.
There are places available for Semester 2 for private lessons. Instruments available are: flute, clarinet, trumpet, trombone, saxophone, bass, drums, guitar, strings and voice. There are excellent performance opportunities for those learning music. Any interested students can pop up to music and collect an enrolment booklet or contact Amanda Wallace firstname.lastname@example.org in the Music Department for more information.
Those students enrolled for Semester 2 must complete payments before lessons commence in Term 3.
It’s that time of year again when Triple J put out the call for high school students to share their talents with the country. The Unearthed High competition is an excellent initiative and great avenue for young songwriters and musicians to gain exposure to the music industry. Check out the Triple J website for more details.
