De La Salle College Opening and Welcome Mass

Last night’s Opening and Welcome Mass at St Patrick’s Cathedral was a terrific celebration for the De La Salle community.

Our thanks to Father John Sherman OMI for his presence on the night and the entire staff at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Peter Houlihan, for his warm address and overall support of the evening, Tom Ryan, for his assistance as MC, Jonathan Hewett, for his wonderful photography and ability to capture these special occasions, Br Paul Toohey and Br Mandy Dujunco for both of their involvement and support on the night, Chris Mundy for all her behind the scenes support, Joan Ferguson for her assistance in preparing the Year 4 and Year 7 students in the lead up to the mass, Cindy Frost and the De La Salle College student choir and the young and impressive, Sam Spackman (Year 10) in his debut as cantor. I’m still speechless at the talent of this remarkable young man.

A final thanks to all our new students and student leaders for their participation, in being present and celebrated. Thank you for supporting the evening and being present in the lives of our students. We heartily welcome our newest members into our Lasallian family.
