Day at Races – 19 August 2017
Our Day at the Races event is now on 19 August due to Melbourne Racing Club availability.
We need your help please!
The Parent Network of De La Salle College, with the support of its broader community, will be holding its major fundraising event for the year, A Day at the Races at Caulfield Racecourse, 19 August 2017.
College run events provide an excellent opportunity to get involved, meet other parents, and play a key role in building a strong school community. This is something that we pride ourselves on at De La Salle.
If you are interested in being a member of the fundraising sub-committee for A Day at the Races, we would love to hear from you — please email email@example.com.
Similar to last year, as part of the A Day at the Races event, the Parent Network will be establishing an online auction via 32auctions.com which will run from mid-year until The Race Day 2017. While more details will follow soon, in the meantime please start thinking about products, services and vouchers you, your business or your broader network may be willing to donate for the online auction. Donations will also be acknowledged to the De La Salle and broader community in various forms such as newsletters, our webpage and Facebook page, representing an excellent opportunity to promote your business. Please contact us on our email address above with any enquiries or donation offers.
Thankyou in anticipation of your support.
Mothers’ Day Breakfast 2017
This year’s Mothers’ Day breakfast was held in our school gymnasium on Wednesday 3 May. It was a huge success with 550 people in attendance.
We were greeted by our School Leaders and enjoyed a wonderful welcome from our College Principal, Mr Peter Houlihan. Peter introduced our guest speaker Mrs Michelle Gosch, who spoke of her boys who were are former De La Salle students and also of her time organising Women’s AFL.
It was wonderful to see so many mothers and sons talking and enjoying their time together during this special occasion. This is certainly a very special event in the De La Salle calendar.
Thank you to all the fathers who volunteered; your help was invaluable. To all the clean-up crew thank you for getting the gym back to normal and getting all the dishes done in the PAC. I would like to thank Mr Michael Bohan and the College Maintenance Team for getting the Gym ready and more importantly a big thank you again, to all the Dads who help set-up, serve and clean up after the event.
