De La Salle College is a wonderful blend of the old and the new. Many of the original buildings still stand and are an iconic part of the Malvern landscape.
Over the years, as De La Salle expanded and our student numbers grew, so did the number of versatile facilities.
Two campuses – Tiverton and Kinnoull
The College is located on two separate campuses situated on either side of High Street, near the intersection of Glenferrie Road, Malvern.
The Tiverton Campus accommodates our students in Years 4 – 9, commonly referred to as our Junior Campus. The Kinnoull Campus, off High Street on Northbrook Avenue, accommodates our students in Years 10 – 12 and is commonly referred to as our Senior Campus.
The distance between the campuses is about a three-minute walk. Both are easily accessible by public transport.
Theatres and Performance spaces
At Kinnoull, our Saint Miguel theatre holds entire year levels for assemblies and multi-media classes. The capacity of this space to project full movie-sized images onto a screen is of enormous benefit.
The amphitheatre at Kinnoull provides outdoor seating for 200 to enjoy bands and concerts both during and after school hours.
The Performing Arts Centre at Tiverton is a multipurpose space with retractable seating for approximately 250. This space hosts a vast array of events throughout the year, including school productions, our annual Art Show and music events.
Sport and outdoor spaces
The Gymnasium situated at Tiverton not only houses ACC sporting events such as basketball and volleyball, but can also seat the entire school during Mass and whole school assemblies.
The Kinnoull oval is a wonderful place for our young men to exert energy at recess and lunch. In addition, students have access to our multipurpose astro-turf court during breaks and P.E. classes.
There are four outdoor basketball courts across the two campuses and the College has access to a number of local sporting venues.
Our two libraries (one at each campus) are staffed by supportive, caring and well-informed staff, providing a welcoming environment for study, research and reading. Computer, printing and photocopying facilities are available, as well as an up-to-date fiction collection, and informative non-fiction collection for loan. The libraries are open for student use from 8am to 4pm each day, including recess and lunchtime.
De La Salle College hosts numerous specialist rooms to cater for specific subject areas.
