Victorian Inter‐School Ski Competition

The 2012 Victorian Inter‐school ski competition was conducted at Mt. Buller during the last week of August.

De La Salle entered a team of 16 students this year from Year 7 to 12. We were fortunate to have excellent snow with all areas of the mountain open. The students experienced a variety of weather conditions during the competition from limited visibility to bright sunny days. The following students competed in Alpine and snowboard giant slalom events on Little Buller Spur and Burnt Hut Spur:-

Jack Reeve — Year 11S, Brendan Maher — Year 11B, Lachlan Brown — Year 11B, Will Agar — Year 11V, Ned Peterson — Year 11V, Stuart Brennan‐Smith — Year 12S, Oliver Jones — Year 12D, Seb Otten — Year 11B, Jake Pirovano — Year 11V, Nick Amon — Year 9D, Louis Collins — Year 9S, Will Jones — Year 8S, Nick Payne — Year 8R, Spencer Embrey — Year 7J, Elijah Kingsley — Year 7S and Kasey Entwistle — Year 7J.

Particular mention goes to Jack Reeve who finished in the top 30% of competitors in Division 1 Alpine and Nick Payne who finished in the top 10 % of the Division 3 Alpine.

More than 5000 students participate in the Interschool Competition and De La Salle has been involved in this competition for more than 20 years.
We look forward to putting together another team for this competition in 2013.
