ACC Sport Schedule — Term 3, Week 10

Please find attached the ACC Sport Schedule for Term 3, Week 10.

Although ACC Sport matches have finished for Term 3, this week is very important for Term 4 ACC Sport Coaches with all Teams involved in Selection Trials in preparation for next term.

Please take note of student departure times on Tuesday (Year 9 and 10) and Thursday (Year 7 and 8) for these Selection Trials.

Apologies for the disruption to scheduled classes on these days and thanks in advance for your continued support for ACC Sport.

Year 7 & 8 ACC Finals

All Year 7 and 8 DLS Teams competed in Finals last Thursday and as well as our “De La Double” ACC Premierships, the other Final Placings were:

Year 8 Hockey — 3rd (defeated St Bede’s 3 — 1)

Year 8 Table Tennis — 8th (defeated narrowly by Whitefriars)

Year 7 Basketball A and B — 6th (both defeated by St Bede’s)

Year 7 Table Tennis — 3rd (defeated Mazenod 9 matches to 6 after trailing 3 — 5)
This 3rd placing is clearly our highest ever finish in Junior Table Tennis in our short history in ACC Table Tennis.

Year 8 Football Lightning Premiership

DLS Lightning Premiership Season concluded last Monday with our Year 8 Home Room Competition. On another glorious day for football at TH King Oval, the competition in the Round Robin stage was very even with only 8 Vincent undefeated.

8 Vincent cruised into the Grand Final to meet 8 Jerome who seemed to have found form at the right time of the day.

With a strong breeze blowing towards the East Malvern end, 8 Vincent was unable to take advantage and scores were level at half time.

8 Jerome certainly made good use of the scoring end to quickly assert their superiority and recorded an emphatic victory by 35 points to claim the Premiership.

The Andrew Carrazzo Medal for Best Player on the Ground was awarded to Sean MacDonald of 8 Jerome.

Congratulations to 8 Jerome and Ken Stokes — the 2014 Year 8 Lightning Premiership Football Champions!

Thank you to all Term 3 ACC Coaches for their time, effort and genuine goodwill for the benefit of our students.
