ACC Sporting Fixture — Term 3, Week 6

Please find attached the ACC Sporting Schedule for this Tuesday 27 May to Thursday 29 May.

This week produced an extreme in Senior ACC Sport that has never occurred previously and we hope never again for our Senior Football Team.

Our First XVIII Football Team travelled down the highway last Wednesday to take on the undefeated St. Joseph’s Geelong. We were defeated by a whopping 131 points and failed to register a score. The Team and Coaches are certainly hoping that this is an aberration and this will only be proven with a much more spirited and determined showing at home this Wednesday versus Parade.

On a much more positive note, our First XI Soccer Team totally outplayed and dismantled CBC St Kilda to record a massive 19 — 0 victory. Let’s hope that the boys can continue this form into this Wednesday’s clash away versus Emmanuel and finish the season with another win.

Thursday 22 May proved to be a great day for Year 7 ACC Sport with all 3 teams nearly recording a clean sweep of wins. Our Year 7 Division 1 Football Team scored a comfortable 40 point victory on the road against Whitefriars to remain undefeated. After a thrilling come from behind victory last week, our Year 7 Soccer Team continued the momentum versus Whitefriars to register an emphatic 5 — 0 win.

Our winless Year 7 Division 2 Football Team came so close to a famous victory only to fall 3 points short of Parade. After failing to score against the undefeated Salesian last week, it was so encouraging for the boys to be much more competitive on Thursday and Coach Barns was very impressed with their renewed spirit and endeavour.

Next week is again a very busy week in ACC Sport with all De La Salle Football and Soccer Teams playing matches from Tuesday to Thursday.
