Opening School Mass, Investiture and Academic Awards

On Thursday, 13 February the College celebrated the new academic year with a whole school Mass.

The Mass was celebrated by Fr. John Sherman OMI and featured the Year 12, 2014 theme “La Sallian Man” — We are Men of God and Men of Action. This occasion was also significant as the 2014 College Leaders were officially inducted into their role by the new Colllege Principal, Mr. Peter Houlihan. This was a proud moment for the College and was shared by the many parents and guests who were present. We thank all our visitors for their attendance.

At the conclusion of Mass the College formally congratulated the high achieving students of the Class of 2013. these young men were presented with a certificate and a plaque recognising their superb academic performance in the VCE, culminating in ATARs of 90 and above or being awarded the subject Dux prize. The Top Students from Year 7 to Year 11 in 2013 were also presented with an award to recognise their achievement.

The College congratulates the 2014 Leaders and Academic Award winners. Their commitment to leadership and academic excellence serves as a great example to all students across all year levels at the College.
