Sport News

Congratulations to the following students on their sport achievements:

Brayden Maynard (Year 12 Student 2014) was selected at Pick Number 30 at the AFL Draft on Thursday 30 November. He was selected by the Collingwood Football Club.

Dalton Di Medio jumped a personal best height of 3.50m in the pole vault at the Australian All Schools Championships in Adelaide over the weekend. He came 5th overall in a very tight field. This is a fantastic result considering he was the youngest and least experienced competitor.

Nathan Barrow competed in the Fencing State and National Titles. He won the silver medal at State Titles and went on to contest the U13 foil and épée in both individual and team events. Nathan finished about 18th out of 60‐odd foilists in the individual, was a member of the Victorian B team which placed 5th in the team foil and placed 5th in the individual épée. The highlight of the weekend was that Nathan was a member of the Victorian team which took out the gold medal in the U13 team épée.
