De La Salle College and OLSH COLLEGE present Grease
Grease. Hands up if you have never heard of it. No‐one? Great. You might have even seen it. But you can always see it again, hear those great songs again, watch the Hand Jive, sing along with Grease (quietly of course), and feel the emotion as Danny and Sandy fall in love.
Grease had its Broadway première in 1972 and has triumphed throughout the world. In 1979 Grease took over the record as the longest‐running show in the history of Broadway and the hit film starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton‐John proved to be the highest‐grossing movie musical ever.
This year this iconic musical will hit the stage once again in a joint production between De La Salle College and OLSH College. These are exciting times for the two schools. Not only are we preparing to perform the fabulous musical Grease together and not only do we have a wonderful cast and crew and amazing staff involved, but we are now embarking on a lasting partnership between De La and OLSH to produce a show together every year. Very exciting indeed. This year it is the turn of De La Salle College and staff to lead the production and organisation of the show, while next year it will be OLSH who leads.
Grease is at the Alexander Theatre, Monash University, Clayton on Wednesday 29 April at 12.30pm and 7.30pm, Thursday 30 April and Friday 1 May at 7.30pm.
