Recent events

The Parent Network recently hosted parent evenings for Year 7 and Years 10 – 12.

On Thursday 19 February the Peppercorn Cafe opened its doors for over 120 Year 7 parents for welcome drinks. The evening was warm and parents enjoyed meeting one another and socialising over great food and wine or beer.

On Wednesday 25 February over seventy Year 10–12 parents came along to meet and chat. Both nights were filled with lots of laughter, catch ups with friends, new friendships formed and plenty of fine food and drinks to make it a buzzing night.

Principal Peter Houlihan attended the Year 7 drinks evening and Head of Kinnoull Campus Luke Kenealy came along to the Year 10 – 12 evening.

We would like to acknowledge and thank Mary Martin, Liz Scott, Eva Mihailidis, Trish Van Buynder, Jenny and Nic Pavlou, Helen Groves, Lora Domine and Letizia Zisimopoulos. In addition, we are grateful to the year level representatives who attended and helped by welcoming parents and passing food around.

Volunteers needed

I am still in need of helpers for the 50 Plus Reunion. It is a daytime event at the College. If you can help, I will be delighted to hear from you.

Alumni 50 Plus Reunion — Thursday 19 March, PAC

There will be about 100 of our older Old Collegians attending this reunion. They will have graduated from the College before 1965! You have the option of two sessions.

  • Set up will be from 8:30am-10:30am
  • Lunch followed by clean up 11:30am — 3:30pm

50 Year Reunion

Nearly 40 Old Collegians attended their 50 Year reunion here at the College last week. The group was joined by Mr Peter Houlihan and two teaching brothers from the era, Br Cal Cusack and Br Gerard Rummery.

Pictured left are three of the Old Colls Mike Frazer, Ed Lorkin and Barry Breen. For the AFL ‘footy fanatics’ out there, Barry is the past St Kilda player who kicked the winning point, against Collingwood, for their one and only premiership in 1966.
