On Thursday 4 June Melbourne Football Club ran a clinic for the primary classes. Jack Trengove, Daniel Cross, Jake Spencer and Jeremy Howe came and had a skill session in the primary dome as the wet weather held us up from going to Malvern Oval.
The players told of their personal journey from childhood to AFL football and gave insight into daily training programs, the teams they love to play and the teams they find challenging. It was a great session and our boys learned a great deal about life at the AFL standard. The biggest message from all of the players was to listen to your coaches, try to practise at every opportunity and have the ambition to play football at the highest standard. It was a great experience for all of the primary boys and we thank Melbourne Football Club for their participation in this great initiative.
