Chaplain’s Notes

It was with an ambience of joy that Harry Cutts, (Year 7), Patrick Gamba, Sal La Torre and Riley Suffolk (Year 4) received the Sacrament for the first time on Tuesday 31 May. Gathered with their families they shared in the second rite led by Father Brendon Dillon. We congratulate these young people for their commitment and their families for the loving support they displayed throughout the process.

May God bless them always with forgiving and humble hearts.

On Wednesday 25 May around 70 people gathered at St Anthony’s Glen Huntly for an Information Night in preparation for Confirmation. The enthusiasm amongst the students and their parents was delightful. We wish them all every blessing as they prepare for the Sacrament which will celebrated on Sunday 28 August 2016, with Mass from 11:00am at St Anthony’s Parish, Glen Huntly.

In preparation for this day, there will be a Retreat Day in August. On Monday 22 August there will be a Family Mass and presentation of Confirmation medals. Please ensure this date is in your diary. Students will also travel to St Anthony’s on Thursday 25 August, to meet Bishop Elliott prior to the big event.

Please keep these students in your prayers as they strive to grow closer to the Lord.
