Class of 2016
The Class of 2016 finished off their year with a myriad of celebrations during October and have now completed their exams. We wish each and every student the best for their next stage of life and look forward to connecting with them again in 2017 as Old Collegians.
Year 4 Veterans
Twelve students from the Class of 2016 began at De La Salle in Year 4 in 2008 and they were photographed with Teacher Mr Terry Atkins (or Mr A as he is better known), who taught them in Year 4.
End of Year celebrations
The Class of 2016 celebrated their final year of school with the Formal, held at Trak Toorak; their group retreat; a “Celebration Day” at Sidetracked Go‐Karting in Oakleigh (at which appeared some very creative dress‐ups); the Farewell Breakfast; a final Mass and assembly; and, of course, the Valedictory Dinner.
At the Farewell Breakfast Joel Masterson (Class of 1996) welcomed the Year 12 students into the Old Collegian’s Association with a thoughtful and perceptive speech about the importance of maintaining their brotherhood bonds into their years beyond high school and the highs and lows of adult life. The speech made a lasting impression on the students who continued to talk about it for some weeks.
The year was not complete without a Woompa from the boys. Visit our Facebook page (under videos) to see the Class of 2016 Woompa in action.
