De La Salle Basketball Club – Cessation

The Friday night Basketball Club will NOT continue into the Winter 2016 season due to the lack of a committee. There have been calls made repeatedly over the last 2 years for new blood but no-one has stepped forward. Unfortunately parents who formed the mainstay of the committee for many years have retired as their sons have left the College. If there are parents who would like to share the burden of running the club, which is not arduous please contact Michael Bohan on 0439172465. A MINIMUM of 3 to 4 parents are required to make it viable to carry out the roles of President, Secretary, Treasurer and one committee person. Meetings would be only “as needed” probably 3 – 4 times a year AT MOST. Assistance is required at the venue (Oakleigh Rec Centre) as each season commences to hand out singlets etc.
