Mother’s Day Breakfast
The Mother’s Day Breakfast continues to gain momentum each year. Tickets were sold within 3 days and the event was SOLD OUT. Julie Car took the lead with the organisation of the event again this year so a very big thank you to Julie for her tireless effort again this year. Thank you also to the team of parents who have helped Julie with the event year‐on‐year and again this year and we welcomed many new parent‐helpers this year who assisted with the breakfast, a testament to our wonderful College community. Special thanks also to Liz Ferentinos, a year 7 parent who was able to help with menu ideas and sourcing products at wholesale prices.
Kaila Hutchinson was our guest speaker and captured everyone’s attention in sharing her inspiring Olympic story. What a privilege it was for all to hear an elite athlete share her story. Kaila’s speech also highlighted the influence that her mother had on her sporting pursuits and the support she willingly gave so that Kaila could pursue her athletic ambitions. Along with Kaila’s speech, we were also treated to some fabulous acoustic guitar playing at the breakfast by the talented Addison Rowland. Thank you Addison and well done.
We would like to acknowledge the following sponsors and supports of the Mother’s Day Breakfast.
Betty McDowell Lingerie, Brighton
