Year 7 Roland, Solomon and Vincent Retreat

Led by the Youth Ministry Team, the Year 7 students of homerooms Roland, Solomon and Vincent had a wonderful day of activities and reflections focusing on their relationship with each other and with God. There was a constant buzz of excitement as they took time out from their studies to develop a deeper sense of self and their place in the world. The day concluded with a prayer service in which all students participated.

Year 8 Liturgies

Year 8 Hegarty and 8 Jerome have both led the early morning liturgies in the past two weeks. Hegarty students invited us to reflect on the stoning of St Stephen, the first Martyr. They took from the reading the theme of Courage and led the community to examine the ways in which we are challenged to stand up for the welfare of others and for what we believe. Last Tuesday morning Year 7 Jerome took us back to the Council of Jerusalem, at which time the apostle came to realise that Jesus message was not just for the Jewish people but for all men. The Jerome students invited us to look more deeply at the theme of our College year, “Inclusiveness”, examining the challenges we sometimes miss in our daily lives.

Parents are reminded that they are most welcome to join us on Tuesday mornings in the Tiverton Chapel for an 8:15 am service. Please sign in at Reception before you go to the Chapel.
