The formal part of the evening will include a short Liturgy involving the House student leaders followed by some important information relating to your son’s House and the College Wellbeing Programs. At the conclusion of the 45‐minute presentation, light refreshments will be provided in the Peppercorn Café. This will be a great opportunity for you to meet with your son’s House Mentor as well as other parents from his Mentor group. For catering and administration purposes, could I ask that families RSVP to your son’s House Coordinator a week prior to their House event. The House Mentors and Student House Leaders are looking forward to seeing you present on the night.

Science Competition for House Points
To welcome students to the wonderful world of microscopes, the Science team are holding a Slide Competition. Year 8 students who have produced a good homemade slide can submit it to your Science Teacher or the Laboratory Technician before the last week of Term 1 for a chance to win bonus house points! Your slide can be of any biological cell. Last year’s winner by Max Kovacevic of St Leo’s House, shown below, is of a fly’s wing. The best slide viewed under the microscope will be awarded ten house points and be displayed near the Tiverton Science News Wall in the Year 8 corridor and in the Duce. Points will also be awarded for the second and third best slides. Winners will be announced at the beginning of Term 2. Have fun and good luck!
