Health Centre – Opening Hours
The Health Centre is open Monday – Friday from 9:50am – 2:30pm. The Health Centre is staffed by highly skilled and experienced First Aiders who effectively meet the healthcare needs of our College community. It is best for students to remain at home if they are clearly unwell in the morning. Students who arrive at school feeling unwell should report to Reception prior to classes commencing and parents/guardians or the nominated emergency contact person will be will be contacted to transport the student home. Hence, it is vital that student contact details are up to date. Alternatively, students can wait and speak to their Class/House Mentor who will liaise directly with the Health Centre.
Students are not permitted to ring their parents themselves or leave the school without permission. If students require regular medication to be administered during school hours, parents need to send the medication to the College, in its original packaging, clearly labelled with dosage instructions including expiry date, and it will be held at the Health Centre for use under the supervision of the First Aid Officer. Only Ventolin or similar medication for the relief of asthma are to be carried by the student. No other medication should be in the student’s possession.
