Year 7 and 8
The emphasis in the first few weeks of the term has been on organisation. We believe that students who come prepared for learning and who complete all set tasks within class and also for home learning will learn best at De La Salle College. Setting up a home learning timetable weekly s a good way for students to be on top of things and to make sure everything is completed well and on time. Both Year levels will also discuss this week about positive computer use within the class and at home. It is school policy that computers are used within the classroom for educational purposes only.
We believe that homework should be completed every night in 1–1.5 hours and that students should complete tasks on their computers or in other ways without the distractions of games or social media outlets. This will continue to be a focus in 2019 to ensure our students perform at their best.
