Our ‘Superfish’ Ryo Hayashi, Year 9 has triumphed at the 2020 Victorian Age Swimming Championships held between 17 and 21 December, 2019. 

Ryo swam very strongly and won eleven medals across the five days, securing the Victorian Age Champion in his category — Boys, 13-Year-old. 

  • 3 x Gold Medal: 200m Butterfly, 200 & 400 Individual Medley
  • 4 x Silver Medal: 1500m Freestyle, 100m Butterfly, 200m Backstroke, 4 x 50m Freestyle Relay
  • 4 x Bronze Medal: 800m Freestyle, 100m Breaststroke, 100m Backstroke, 4 x 50m Medley Relay

Swimming Victoria awarded Ryo the Henry (Hicks) B. Ive Trophy for attaining the highest aggregate points across all strokes for a male in the 12, 1213, 13 and Under and 13 year age groups at the 2020 Victorian Age Swimming Championships. 

He has six National qualifying times and will swim in April at National Age Swimming Championships in Perth.
