The Principal's Report
The past few weeks have been particularly challenging, with the swift transition to remote learning at the end of Semester One. I am very proud of how our school community dealt with the demands therein.

A bumper Week 10 calendar was on show for the Year 9s at the Holy Eucharist Campus. This included Project Based Learning Sprints, Man Cave Workshops and Reflection Days.

As part of our GROW wellbeing program, all Year 5 - 8 students will hear from Elephant Ed. Elephant Ed are evidence-based, age appropriate workshops that discuss issues around sex education, consent and gender-based violence.

Sports Weekly Wrap
After a three week hiatus from the ACC sport season, the ACC Sport Committee decided that the final week of Term will be the grand final of each division. Good luck to our senior soccer students!

St Austin's House Support Refugee Week
St Austin’s House has had a long and successful association with the Melbourne Catholic Migrant and Refugee Office.

This year, Refugee Week will take place from 20 - 26 June.

Meta eSports Round Up
This is the final week of the main season of the Meta eSports Competition. We have several teams who have qualified or are in with a chance to make the semi-finals for Victoria. Congratulations!

Year 12 Seminar
The Year 12 RE Seminar Program included a guest presentation from Sam Clear. From 2006 to 2008, Sam undertook a 15,600km walk around the world for Christian unity. The stories were moving and inspiring.

Vaping epidemic
Recent reports into the prevalence of young people using vaping pens and e-cigarettes has shown a huge surge in the use of these devices. Many young people don’t realise what they are inhaling when using these.

Did you know
De La Salle's founding staff were three young Irishmen. Brothers Dunstan Drumm (32), Leopold Loughran (34) and Jerome Foley (26) arrived in Melbourne only one day before classes started and taught 54 students.
