Preparations have begun for Mission Action Day 2021 (MAD), the annual fundraising event held by De La Salle College. It will be held this year on Thursday 1 April with all proceeds raised going towards Lasallian Mission projects in poor communities throughout South-East Asia. The event involves a 12km walk along, or near, some sections of the Gardiners Creek walking trail in the Glen Iris area. The students are asked to acquire sponsorship through Term 1 and pay in the sponsorship money in the first half of Term 2. In the near future students will receive preliminary material including Sponsorship Forms.

Due to COVID -19, we were unable to conduct the event last year, however we have had some outstanding individual efforts over recent years and collectively the College Community has been able to raise approximately $100,000. We look forward to another outstanding effort this year.

The Number 6 Tram Route has been a very popular choice for students in all Year Levels. In an effort to alleviate overcrowding, Year 7 and 8 students will be dismissed 5 minutes earlier each day than the rest of the school to enable us to spread the students more evenly across the tram schedule.

Students are reminded masks are compulsory on all public transport.
