Student Wellbeing

As we begin the 2021 school year, it is with much excitement that we begin our new Wellbeing program – GROW (Growing Responsibility for my Own Wellbeing).

GROW is shaped by the following goals:
  • A wellbeing program that is targeted at each Year Level specifically.
  • Alignment with the Five Core Lasallian Principals.
  • A program that is meaningful and engaging.
  • A program that encompasses Positive Psychology and Respectful Relationships.
  • A program that has been shaped by student input/voice.
GROW is a program that:
  • Creates and celebrates a sense of connection, community and brotherhood amongst students, and staff.
  • Promotes and develops the qualities of resilience, openness, reflectiveness, growth mindset, positivity and purpose.
  • Is visible, accessible and embraced by the whole College community.
  • Has a clear, easy to follow structure for students, families and staff.
  • Has clear goals for each year, and overall.
  • Allows for mentoring/interaction between year levels at key moments – e.g. transition.
  • Ensures students can identify what they have learned and gained from the program.
Teachers at all Year Levels have been busily preparing lessons and units covering topics such as practical mindfulness, stress management, organisation skills, mental health, respectful relationships, masculinity, pathways and more.

De La Salle is proud of GROW, and looks forward to providing the students of the College with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed and grow into great young people.
