De La Salle College has a number of Old Collegians who are Olympians. Damian Brown (1987) is a weightlifter and competed at three Olympic Games and four Commonwealth Games. He has also competed in a world-record 12 consecutive World Championships.

Damian was honoured as the Australian Team Flag Bearer for the opening ceremony of the 2002 Commonwealth Games.
