House Sport

On Friday 13 August, students and teachers competed in a remote steps challenge to see which House could complete the most steps in the day.

Many students and teachers put together great efforts to win it for their House, however it was St Edwin’s House that took the chocolates in this event. House Coordinator, Jess Stevenson, rallied her crew and completed 20,000 steps herself. Nothing could stop Xavier Geddes (St Edwin’s House) who must have completed hours of exercise after logging a huge 65,000 steps! St Edwin’s House had a big showing with Evan McVey also producing big numbers (52,000 steps).

I applaud everyone that competed. It was a valiant effort with students and teachers getting out there and having a go!

Here are the results of the competition:

1st: St Edwin’s House – 519,483 steps. Top performer: Xavier Geddes – 65,389 steps
2nd: St Austin’s House – 362,695 steps. Top Performer: Dominic Shelley – 42,783 steps
3rd: St Leo’s House – 293,940 steps. Top Performer: Levi Wardle – 25,128 steps
4th: St Mark’s House – 233,760 steps. Top performer: Tom Seddon – 32,757 steps.

Across the whole College, there were 1,409,878 steps completed which is a great effort for everyone involved.
