THE DUCE NEWSLETTER ISSUE 13

2 SEPTEMBER 2021

Tiverton Campus
Year 5 - 8

Year 5 to 8 students have been working hard on their various subjects throughout lockdown, aiming to complete all set work in class while completing tests online and subject assessments after hours. The main focus of the Tiverton Wellbeing Team has been encouraging students to continue to be organised as this sets them up for many years ahead. We have encouraged all students to use a physical diary, as well as sticky notes on their computer to identify key learning areas with different colors. Lastly, the combination of both their Teams and Outlook calendars in conjunction with their work on OLLIE should enable all students to keep organised, productive and motivated throughout lockdown.

We also want all our Year 5 - 8 students to maintain a healthy lifestyle that encourages a positive mood, growth mindset and fun in these challenging times. As a result, students have participated in House Challenges such as the most steps, push ups and sit ups as well as a photography competition, Science Week quizzes and games, Super Mario Cart lunchtime play offs and GROW wellbeing challenges located on the Tiverton OLLIE page. Lastly, we are encouraged all students to participate in the Australian Reading Hour on Thursday 16 September.

We believe if all students prioritise their work and their wellbeing throughout these times, they will have so much to look forward to in the coming school Term and years.
