Faith and Mission

Jesus said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12).

Jesus is our hope and our light. Things can be dark, but it is not where it ends.

As this week draws to an end, find some time this weekend and take a few moments to pause, pray and reflect. For the people of Afghanistan. For those fighting bushfires in Europe and the USA.
For our battling Australian farmers. For all victims of the global pandemic, especially those who have lost their lives. And anyone else we wish to pray for and remember in the silence of our hearts.

Reflect on each day and how fleeting life is. Thank God for each blessing in your life. And pray that this pandemic will continue to teach us to slow down, appreciate what we have and how quickly it can be gone.
And as you notice the sun setting and the night drifting in, perhaps light a candle if you can.
This week take some time to simply sit in the light and be.
And may the holy presence of God be with you, as you need and desire.
