Holy Eucharist French Club

The Holy Eucharist French Club held its second French cooking session on Teams this week.
This time, students made a flan pâtissier, a popular French dessert that can be found for a few euros in any bakery in France.

They had to first prepare their tin and line it with pie crust. Then, using milk, a whole vanilla pod, corn flour, sugar, and eggs, they made la crème patissière. Finally, they placed the cream on top of their crust and baked it.

I'm impressed by these young French chefs who spend their Tuesday afternoons on Teams with their teacher who only speaks French during these sessions. A fantastic way to learn about French cultural practices while reaping the culinary benefits!
