Music Report
After many months of planning and many a prayer, Music Tour 2021 to the Southern Grampians region took place last week.

Commencing with a full day of rehearsals at Tiverton on Monday 12 July, the 60 students from Years 8 - 12 demonstrated superb Lasallian spirit, teamwork and copious amounts of musical skill throughout the week. From our base at Grampians Retreat in Dunkeld, we delivered five performances at schools in Penshurst, Tarrington and Hamilton, including Monivae College, Peter Houlihan and Claire Block’s former school. Happily, Peter Houlihan was able to join us in attending Thursday’s performances.

Unfortunately, the impending lockdown curtailed the tour, preventing the performance of the final two concerts (Coleraine and Lucas) and shortened the tour by one evening. However, the overwhelming feeling is one of gratitude for the small ray of possibility that was afforded to us in these difficult times to be able to share our love of music. The sight of our De La Salle musicians staging, hosting and performing concerts to the evident delight of hundreds of dancing and cheering primary school students is a sight that never gets old.
