Faith and Mission

Recently, all families received a communication home outlining the details of our Term 3 Charitable Donations Drive. As a Catholic community, we are called to connect with others who struggle and live in poverty. As Lasallians, we recognise that when we are agents of change, we can make a difference in the lives of all.

“God has chosen you to make him known to others” St John Baptist de La Salle (Med146.2)

Through our work and goodwill, we make God known to others. St John Baptist de La Salle’s dream was that social justice and a concern for the poor was our shared concern and his dream becomes realised through genuine experiences of solidarity. it is through your generosity that the community at De La Salle College can make a difference in the lives of the needy and vulnerable in our community.

During Term 3 and in the lead up to our Social Justice Mass which falls on the last day of Term, we are challenged to think of others and to work together to make a difference. This Term, students are encouraged and invited to help support St Joseph’s Outreach South Yarra, Malvern Emergency Food Program and Sacred Heart Mission St Kilda. Find out which items can be donated by reading the letter.

The generous support of students and families in their endeavour to show solidarity and bring hope to the needy, poor and vulnerable members of our local community is always greatly appreciated and received.
