Holy Eucharist Campus
Year 9

The Holy Eucharist French Club, a brain-child of French teacher, Marjorie Bon, merges curriculum and culture with experiential learning.

In some cases, remote learning has broadened the opportunities for this learning to happen within the home. This week for example, learning branched out into family kitchens with Year 9s cooking fabulous French crepes for le goûter.

Reflections from our Year 9 students:

Niki Rayzman: “As part of the French club we decided to make crepes from the comfort of our homes!! We last did this at school in Term 2 and it was a massive success, so we thought, why should the lockdown stop us?”

Ronin Lew: “Creating crepes was really fun and we got to learn all about it. All my family had a taste of the great recipe. Merci!”

Skyler Sahely: “I really enjoyed having the crepe session because I found it to be a great opportunity to explore the culture side of France. The food is always a delicious bonus!”

Students were able to keep their notebooks free from flour and produce an abundance of delicious crepes. Bon appétit!
