Kinnoull Campus
Year 10 - 12

In my final address to the Kinnoull students at the Semester Two Academic Awards Assembly, rather than focusing on all that has gone wrong due to the pandemic, I invited the students to reflect on their positive experiences and attributes gained from living through a second year of interrupted learning.

These past two years have highlighted that students have learnt how to become more resilient, adaptive and independent learners. Whilst learning from home, each student has developed their capacity to take ownership for their personal organisation. In drawing on these past experiences, students should feel optimistic that navigating life’s challenges ahead will hopefully become easier.

Despite the challenges experienced during the past 12 months, students should be proud of their ability to give their personal best daily. In speaking to many students before they finished last week, they all expressed excitement about the many possibilities the 2022 academic year will bring.

Wishing all the families in the De La Salle community a very Holy Christmas and a safe summer break with family and friends.
