Identity and Mission

Welcome to this new school year! To those of us returning, welcome back. To those of us new to De La Salle this year – a very special welcome to our school. Welcome to your school. Because you’ve joined us, we are now a whole new school community.

We begin this school year entrusting to God all that we will do this year and asking God to be with us through all the ups and downs of our journey. We begin the year recognising that we live and move and have our being only through the grace of God and only through the light of God in our lives.

As Lasallians we begin our school year together, today and every day by reminding ourselves that we are always in the light and Holy presence of God.

Thank you from Malvern Emergency Food Program
Recently, I received an email from Trish Woodman (Schools Coordinator) and the volunteers at MEFP thanking the De La Salle College families for their generous donations of food items collected in Term 3, 2021. Here is a thank you letter from MEFP President, Joan Ross.

Year 7 Reflection Days
Reflection Days are wonderful opportunities for all students to take a step back, develop their reflective capabilities and nourish their personal faith journey through presentations, small group discussions and retreat style group activities.

As part of the College's Religious Education Program, your son, together with his Class Mentor, will be participating in a Reflection Day. At the heart of the College’s mission is to develop and grow the faith and spirituality of the students. The Year 7 Reflection Day is compulsory and the theme of the day is “belonging and community”. It is intended that the day will be lively, vibrant and engaging as well as, give the students an opportunity to get to know one another.
