Sports Report

ACC Swimming Carnival
De La Salle competed in the annual ACC Swimming Carnival on Wednesday 30 March at MSAC.
The overall result was equal 5th with Parade College in Division 1.

A special mention to Ryo Hayashi who had a huge day of swimming. His results were:
  • 200m Open Freestyle: SECOND (he was the youngest swimmer by two years in this race)
  • 50m Breaststroke: WON
  • 50m Butterfly: WON (Ryo broke a 12 year ACC record in the process, his fourth ACC record overall)
  • 50m Backstroke: WON (and missed breaking a second ACC record by 0.02 of a second)
  • 50m Freestyle- WON (by 15 meters)
Special thanks to Guy Eylon and Angus McLean (Swimming Head Coaches) who have done a terrific job in preparing the squad three mornings a week over the last 8 months. Guy Eylon will also be leaving the role as College Head Swimming Coach to take up a role with Bialik College and his passion and expertise will be sorely missed. Thanks again Guy and well done Angus!

ACC and High Performance swimming will re-commence in Term 3 and help with training is always appreciated.
