Volleyball

Volleyball has come along quite nicely. To think that at the start of the year volleyball was a sport that students turned up to just smack balls. Now students are keen for training and the sport is seen as a competitive sport that we could do well in as a College.

A few exciting things have been happening in the world of volleyball at De La Salle College. Year 7 and 8s had their trials last Term and as we try to grow this amazing team sport, the selected athletes were invited to volleyball clinic on the first day of school holidays to help improve their basic skills.

The senior volleyball team have been steadily improving. Although, we only won one game during the ACC season, we have been building on our skills and confidence. These athletes are looking forward to the Volleyball Victoria One Day Schools Cup tournament on 12 May, where they get greater exposure and experience by spending a whole day playing the sport they love. They have been working hard to improve not only their physical skills but also their mental strength and the players will be able to use this opportunity to execute them on court against other schools.
