ACC Cross Country

The ACC Cross Country was held on Thursday 8 September in challenging conditions at Bundoora Park. In slippery and windy weather, all De La Salle runners performed well but ultimately fell short of some other talented Cross Country schools.

The final results were (points in brackets):

1st St Bede’s (752)
2nd St Joseph’s Geelong (816)
3rd St Bernard’s (819)
4th Whitefriars (939)
5th Salesian (1428)
6th De La Salle (1503)
7th Parade (1566)

There were a couple of outstanding individual performances. Hugo Cornell finished 4th overall in the Under 17’s race, Angus Emons finished 8th in the Under 15 race and Daniel Shine finished 7th in the Under 14’s race. Well done to these three students on their respective top 10 finishes.

Thanks to Ryan McDonough and James Gigacz for their help on the day, to Liz O’Connell for her help on Friday mornings and a special thankyou to James for his work on preparing the runners every Tuesday and Friday morning. We also send a massive thanks to Kevin Mannix who showed his enthusiasm and professionalism in preparing our athletes over the course of Term 3.
