Sports Report

ACC athletics and swimming trainings have started with solid numbers for both squads already. This promises to be a great lead into the 2023 ACC campaigns.

We have had a tough couple of weeks of fixtures to start the summer Term of ACC junior and intermediate sport with tennis, volleyball and cricket having mixed results. The weather has also played a major role with some sides not having a fixture yet with washouts and byes.

Overall, a slow start for tennis teams with no team recording a victory yet from two games. Volleyball has been slightly better with Year 8A narrowly beating Parade College in round 1. Year 7A cricket had their first win, Year 9 so far being two wins from two games and the Year 10’s also getting a win on the board with a close win against St. Bernard’s.

Hopefully with some better weather in the next few weeks and our sides gelling a bit more, we can look forward to some great results.

Student News:
Andre Di Medio (Year 12) will be representing De La Salle College at the Victorian All Schools Championship on Saturday 5 November at Lakeside Stadium, MSAC. He will be competing in the u20 Men's Pole Vault. The College community are cheering you on!
