Edwinners!

What another triumphant year for St Edwin’s House, as we continue our winning streak with a third consecutive House Cup. The St Edwin’s House spirit has seen us rise to the occasion once again.

From the outside, it may appear that the House Cup is won through placing well at the major Carnivals – Athletics, Swimming and Cross Country. Whilst St Edwin’s House have done well at these events, 2022 saw us go down to St Mark’s House at the Athletics and St Leo’s House at Cross Country.

The House Cup is a culmination of the many talents that are found in our wonderful House. It is the students who contribute though their academics, winning points through their recognition at Awards Ceremonies. Students who fundraise for Mission Action Day contribute to House points as each donation earns valuable points. Student involvement in Music and Drama, where ensemble rehearsals and performances allow students in the Arts to showcase their skills, also contribute to House points.

This House Cup is for each and every Edwinner, who shows up, time and time again. It is for our House staff who are the backbone of the House – championing the students at every occasion. As our 2022 House Captain, Benjamin King, so beautifully put it when the Cup was presented at the Year 12 Farewell Assembly – "Mr Ken Stokes, this one is for you."
