THE DUCE NEWSLETTER ISSUE 38

8 DECEMBER 2022

Tiverton Campus
Year 5 - 8

On Thursday 1 December, the Year 6 students celebrated their Primary Graduation in grand style with a learning walk, formal presentation of awards, and afternoon tea for all Year 6 parents and students.

The learning walk showcased the students’ amazing work throughout the 2022 school year in the learning areas of Literacy, Numeracy, Inquiry, Religion, Art, GROW, Sport and Physical Education. The highlight of the formal presentation of awards was the singing of the College song and the two musical pieces performed by the junior music ensemble conducted by Daniel Tedford.

My advice to the Year 6 students was the following:
Embrace the change,
work hard,
meet new people and friends,
work hard,
have fun,
work hard,
try new things,
work hard,
keep well, positive and happy,
work hard,
and keeping growing, learning, progressing and developing into that great young man that your family, friends and school are very proud of.

Many thanks to Principal, Peter Houlihan, Deputy Principal – Students, Jessica Alger, Director of Learning and Development - Curricular Programs, Ben Williamson and the Primary School teaching and educational support team for putting on a wonderful celebration.

Congratulations to the academic award winners (listed below) and the Primary Higgins Award winner, Bas De Koning, for his extraordinary social justice, sporting and academic endeavors throughout the year.
