Holy Eucharist Campus
Year 9

On Monday 28 November, the incoming Year 9 cohort undertook the annual symbolic pilgrimage to the Holy Eucharist Campus. This rite of passage sees new Year 9’s make the 6.1km walk from Tiverton Campus to their home for the next year. Staff enthusiastically welcomed the large group with an assembly and campus quiz to complete the day. The quiz saw the students get competitive and creative with their newly formed Mentor groups, as they learned of the expectations and logistics at Holy Eucharist.

That evening, two Parent Information Events occurred on-site led by Principal, Peter Houlihan, Deputy Principal – Students, Jessica Alger, Year 9 Head of Campus, Sue Kiernan and Year 9 Learning and Teaching Leader, Malwina Dwyer. These events provided key information to incoming Year 9 parents for the 2023 year.

The rest of the week at Holy Eucharist was spent settling into new learning environments and recreational spaces. College Archivist, Marian Jenkinson, made a visit on Thursday to speak to the Year Level about the history and spirit of the four Houses before the House carnival sign ups occurred. All in all, the new Year 9 cohort will leave for the holidays feeling confident that a promising year is in store for them next year. We wish them and their families a restful break.
