Learning and Teaching

When I was at school, I vividly remember the lead into exams being the only time when thoroughly cleaning my room became attractive.

Sometimes, studying for an exam period can be a daunting task for students. This task can lead to anxiety or procrastination. Instead, exam preparation should be simply viewed as a chance to demonstrate one’s learning growth over the course of the Semester. Perhaps a chance for reflection or recalibration.

Examinations remain an integral part of the learning experience. In terms of academic progression, it is anticipated that every student will complete thorough and measured exam preparation. This preparation is priceless in establishing habits that will see them well placed for VCE examinations.

In each class where an exam is to occur, students will be advised of the best way to prepare and the content with which to be familiar. Of course, teachers at the College will assist students in preparing examination revision timetables. However, if any student feels he would like some extra assistance, he is strongly encouraged to speak directly with his mentor teacher.

The examination period for Years 10 and 11 commences on Tuesday 15 November.
The examination period for Years 9 commences on Monday 21 November.

Exam schedules are located here:

I wish all students luck in maintaining a clean study regime and perhaps a messy room!
