House Athletics and Swimming Carnival

The Year 5 and 6 students were truly outstanding at the House Athletics Carnival at Lakeside Albert Park. We had record participation levels by our Primary students and enthusiasm and passion for their Houses was through the roof!

The House Swimming Carnival will be held on Friday 17 March at Oakleigh Recreation Centre. Primary students will be transported by bus to and from the venue. Students are encouraged to bring their own lunch, drink bottle, hat and sunscreen. We are looking forward to more of that passion and enthusiasm!

High Performance Sports

The De La Salle High Performance Sports Program is now taking applications. Students have the option of nominating a sport where they can learn more about what high performance looks and feels like in that area and be pushed out of their comfort zone to be the best that they can be. Sports on offer are: AFL, Cricket, Basketball, Soccer, Swimming and Athletics.

To submit an application, students must email the Director of Sport, Melo Conti: mconti@delasalle.vic.edu.au

Harold Holt Swimming Lessons

As part of our Sport and Physical Education offerings in Term 1 all Year 5 and 6 students have been undertaking a five-week swim program at Harold Holt Swim Centre. Students are required to bring a towel, goggles, appropriate bathers and sports uniform for the 5-week swimming program. Students will walk from school at 1.30pm to Harold Holt during Term 1 on Fridays and will be dismissed from the venue at 3:05pm once the lessons have concluded. We believe healthy, regular exercise for our students contributes to happier students and improved performance at school.
