Opening and Welcome Mass
Last Thursday 2 March, the annual College Welcome and Opening Mass was celebrated at St Patrick’s Cathedral. It was a most noteworthy occasion on the college calendar, and we were graced with the presence of Old Collegian, Monsignor Stuart Hall who presided the occasion.

The Mass is a significant and special occasion for our Catholic, Lasallian identity and it allows us to welcome and acknowledge the newest members to our De La Salle Community. All Year 5 and Year 7 students as well as the new Year 6 students were introduced and welcomed officially before the community as they were officially called forward by name and welcomed by the College Principal, Peter Houlihan.

The evening was also an opportunity to introduce all the Year 12 College Leaders, the Tiverton, Holy Eucharist and Primary Captains and Vice Captains officially to the community.

One of the highlights on the night was to have De La Salle Brothers, Br Michael Carroll FSC, Br Tony Cummins FSC and Br Peter Smyth FSC join us for the evening.
