Medical Management Policy

Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACs) have introduced a new policy relating to students who have a diagnosed health care need, complex care need or medical condition. The new Medical Management Policy is designed to ensure the College meets its duty of care in managing and protecting a student’s safety, health and wellbeing at school.

To comply with this policy, any student who has a diagnosed medical condition, health care need, allergy or relevant condition diagnosed by a registered medical practitioner requires a medically approved Medical Management Plan. The Plan must be signed and dated by the AHPRA registered practitioner.

The advice provided in the Medical Management Plan will then be used to develop an individual Student Health Support Plan that documents how to manage students’ health at school, during excursions or school camps, as well as any educational adjustments required due to the health condition.

We are in the process of contacting families via email requesting this information. The Medical Management Policy can be found on Ollie. If you have any questions, please contact Chloe Matthews (Learning and Education Support Officer) at cmatthews@delasalle.vic.edu.au
