From the Archives
In an article earlier this year, I mentioned a Cricket match ball trophy donated by Old Collegian Peter Heaney (1960) which showed his amazing bowling score of 8 for 9. This was part of an archival display at the 50 Plus Year Reunion on 17 August this year.

This edition’s 'match ball feature' is more recent. In the Archives Office on Tiverton Campus, I have a display of different items from across the history of the school. The mounted Sherrin football holds pride of place at the entry to the room. As you can hopefully see in the attached photo, the players signed the ball, which then had a display mount designed. In case you can’t quite make out the plaque, the important information is:

As you can see, it was an extremely hard fought and close game with many of those named being familiar to the De La Salle College community. I hope this can bring back some fond memories for all those involved.
