50 Plus Year Reunion

Our 50+ Year Reunion is always a special day on the Old Collegians’ reunion calendar.

On 17 August at Merrimu Receptions, Murrumbeena, many of our longest standing Old Collegians gathered to celebrate 50+ Years and counting since graduating. With over 80 guests in attendance, the group spanned the graduation years 1944 to 1972. Over a lovely long lunch, Old Colls shared many life updates, old stories and a lot of laughs.

Principal, Peter Houlihan, gave an overview of De La Salle, and of plans for the College, going forward. Old Collegian, Val Noone (1956), delivered a stirring message of reflection and thanks. Finally, to round out the nostalgia of the occasion, Old Colls were treated to an impressive display of photos, yearbooks and memorabilia, thanks to College Archivist, Marian Jenkinson.

The format of the day allowed our guests to reflect on the passage of time and on the De La Salle bond that endures for so many of our Old Collegians.
